New JOFY stamps at PaperArtsy !

Hello and welcome to my new home ! Tonight is the second night of the beautiful new JOFY stamps release over at PaperArtsy! Fortunately, my samples were all done and dusted before the upheaval of this week, but as you can see everything is as it should be so it's time to focus on the fantastic new JOFY stamps !

I was very lucky to get to play with one of the new sets and below are the samples I've made.

For the first sample I used an A5 piece of white/greyboard that PaperArtsy sell. I mixed Southern Skies and Jade from the JOFY Limited Edition paint set with some Satin Glaze. I brushed it over the board then with a piece of kitchen roll (paper) used a circular motion to blend the colours.

I used the wonderful JOFY vine stencil with Chalk Fresco Finish and stencilled two of them, reversing one by turning over the stenci.

I stencilled over the top of the Chalk with Jade then 'bumped' the stencil and used Buff over the top.

I gave it a wash of watered down Chalk and then stencilled again.

I've added some background stamping using Chalk, then used the new stamps to add the path across the bottom using Watering Can Archival ink and painted it with Southern Skies. The main flowers are stamped onto Smoothy card that's been painted with Orchid and a swirl of Chalk. I cut out the flowers and positioned them over the top of the stamped images on the board. I've added a little shadow around the flowers using some French Roast.

The quote is from the new set and is stamped onto some more painted Smoothy card, cut into pieces and stuck to some pieces of mount board to create tiles.

I started the next sample by using the same colours of Frescos with the addition of some Limelight and brayered onto some tissue paper. I stamped just the head of one of the new stamps using Chalk Fresco Finish.

I painted a jumbo tag using Chalk then glued the brayered tissue paper to it. The layer of Chalk just makes sure you get the true colours from the tissue paper. I've stamped onto the tissue paper and painted the flowers using the Limited Edition JOFY paint set, using a white Sharpie to add some highlights.

The main flowers have been stamped onto Smoothy card painted with Prawn and a whisp of Chalk, then cut out and positioned over the stamped image on the tag. The sentiment is stamped onto painted Smoothy and cut into pieces. I also stamped the sentiment onto some seam binding to make the large bow, and mounted the tag onto some black card to frame it.

The last sample is made from a tag sized piece of white/grey board that I've cut the corners off. I painted it with Buff then stencilled the vine again, this time using Chalk and then 'bumping' the stencil and using Jade over the top. I've also added some stencilled dots using Chalk. I used a baby wipe to blend some Southen Skies and Limelight over the stencilling. The smaller tag is made from cardboard with some of the top layer ripped off. It's been painted with Buff and some stencilling using Chalk. I've stamped the grass across the bottom of both tag pieces and painted them using Hey Pesto.

I painted some Smoothy with Buff then a layer of Crackle Glaze and the top coat is a mixture of Southern Skies and Jade. The flowers are stamped onto it then cut out. The sentiment is again stamped onto painted Smoothy card and cut into pieces.

I had great fun putting these samples together ! Make sure you check out the PaperArtsy blog for the rest of the new releases and wonderful samples.

All the samples are fabulous. I love the bumping technique on the first one because it makes the vine look like it has been raised up. Loving all the different colours used - makes each piece so unique even though the same image has been used.
