Day 5 - PaperArtsy new release !

Hello ! Well we've made it to Friday which means tonight is the night to share Darcy's new stamps over at PaperArtsy. The mood is definitely festive with these new stamp sets !

This piece of grey/whiteboard was painted with Mermaid Fresco Finish then I've done some stencilling with Snowflake and some subtle stamping using Beach Hut. I used the flower from EDY16 and silver embossed it all around the edge, then painted is using Beach Hut and Blueberry Fresco Finish paints.

The baubles have all been painted using the same colours then I've used a silver pen to highlight some of the lines and I also added in some white dots using a Sharpie pen. I've used pieces of silver thread to hang all the baubles from. The sentiment is from EDY15 and I've glued it to some mount board to create tiles.

When I saw this cute little guy I couldn't get Frosty the Snowman out of my head so wanted a really chilly feel ! The background has been done by painting some Smoothy card with Clear Gesso then masking it off into rectangles shapes and using cut'n'dry foam to dab the paint over it. Then before it dries completely, wiping it back with a baby wipe which gives a distressed look. I glued some book paper across the bottom and used a piece of torn paper as a mask to create some snowy hills for the snowman to sit on. I've then stencllied some snowflakes and used a plastic card to add some white lines using Snowflake Fresco Finish.  The little trees have been white embossed to create a treeline.

I've done some light painting on the snowman and stamped the scarf and hat again, painted them and then mounted them onto foam pads for dimension. The sentiment is from EDY15 and has been glued to some mount board to create a tile. I drew the dripping snow freehand and then added some puffy paint.

For this card I brayered the background using Hey Pesto and a mix of Claret and Blueberry. I then stencilled the stars with Vanilla and splatered some paint over it too. The little trees have been stamped onto Smoothy card painted with Green Olives then I cut them out and added some white dots with a Sharpie pen. The stars from EDY15 have been stamped across the bottom to create a border.

I painted another piece of Smoothy card with Hey Pesto then stamped the stars all around the edge. The main image from EDY15 has been stamped onto another piece of brayered card that I've stencilled the stars onto and white highlighting dots on the trees baubles.

Apologies for the photo of this last sample, it didn't matter what I did the flowers came out really dark every time ! The flower on EDY16 just shouts layering to me, so that's what I did ! I stamped the flower several times onto Smoothy card that I'd painted with Green Olives, Spanish Mulberry and the Claret and Blueberry mix. They were then cut out and layered up. The vase is hand drawn then cut out from mount board and I've used one of Lin Brown's stencils with Grunge Paste to add the detail. When it was dry I painted it then replaced the stencil and brushed Treasure Gold over the top.

I covered the white/grey board with book pages then did some stencilling with Snowflake then did a wash with Hey Pesto. Using the TCW stencil I stencilled the numbers using the bumping technique. The little trees were stamped onto Smoothy card painted with Green Olives then cut out and glued into position. To finish I added some lace  and stamped the sentiment from EDY15 across the bottom.

It's been great fun getting into Christmas mode this early in the year, wasn't sure I was going to manage it to be honest ! Do make sure you hop over to the PaperArtsy blog to see what the other designers have created !
