I’ve taken the opportunity to make my other half’s birthday card which he celebrated this week. I started with a piece of Smoothy card and glued strips of book paper in vertical lines. I then mixed some Whipped Spackle with a little of the France Papillon Elements and used a TCW stencil over the opposite corners.
I then spritzed the piece with various Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays which really coloured the book paper beautifully. I then did some stencilling using another TCW stencil and Brown Shed Fresco Finish paint. Using a baby wipe I wiped some Golden paint over some more Smoothy card then used my finger and rubbed Gesso over the top. I stamped the bird which is an Artistic Outpost stamp over the top.
The piece of fabric is a leftover from the France Papillon workshop I attended recently and it’s been painted with Fresco Finish paints Brown Shed and French Roast.
The metal corner pieces have been painted with Brown Shed Fresco Finish paint then I’ve dabbed French Roast over the top. I did the same thing to the little Tim Holtz charm. I found the quote on the internet but I don’t know who it’s by, unfortunately, but I loved it ! It’s been stamped with those little alphabet stamps onto Smoothy card painted with the Golden paint and then Gesso rubbed over the top.
I hope you get chance to join us for this challenge and do make sure you hop over to Stamps and Stencils to check out the rest of the DT's fabulous projects !
